Heart of the City Neighborhoods, a West Side-based community development corporation, is hosting a small business development forum, titled “Bridging the Gap,” for minority and women contractors and developers.
The event will be held from 8:30 to 11 a. m. Wednesday at the D’Youville College Porterview Room, 329 Porter Ave.
Topics to be covered include: factors impeding the potential of the state Minority and Women Business Enterprise Program, the divide between contractor and developer, and ideas for growth. Attendees also will have the opportunity to network with other business people.
Shandra Spicer, president and CEO of S&W Contracting of Western New York, will be the keynote speaker.
