We’re pleased to inform you that construction on our eight-unit rental property, Cynthia Gardens, is moving along! With construction anticipated to be complete this summer, we’ll be starting our application process in March.
The first step to apply for a Cynthia Gardens apartment is to fill out an application. Applications may be downloaded on our website starting at 9:00am on March 4th, or you may submit a request here to have one mailed or faxed. Applicants must meet eligibility guidelines, include income and household size. All applications must be COMPLETELY FILLED OUT to be accepted. Completed applications must be received by no later than 4:00pm on April 5th, 2013 in order to be included in the lottery drawing. There is neither an application fee nor a broker fee to apply for the apartments in these listings. This is not a government program; you will be entering into a private real estate transaction between yourself and Cynthia Gardens.
Tenants will be selected by lottery among all of the applicants who meet the eligibility criteria at a public event open to all on April 27th, 2013. If you meet eligibility criteria and are selected from the lottery, you (and your family) will be able to move in to your new apartment on June 1st, 2013. You can stay in the apartment as long as you still meet the eligibility requirements, such as income and household size.
It is difficult to be selected from a housing lottery, as demand for the apartments exceeds supply. To improve your chances of finding an affordable apartment, you should continue to search for apartments in other ways (word-of-mouth, classified ads, online listings, etc.)
