Erie County and the City of Buffalo have partnered to provide rental and mortgage assistance to at-risk Erie County residents who have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding is provided through Live Well Erie County, Erie County CARES Act, and the City of Buffalo CARES Act Emergency Solutions Grant for COVID-19 Relief.
The program opens today; Thursday, October 1st, 2020. To apply, please call 211 or apply online here (select ‘Register’ to begin.) Applications will be accepted throughout the month of October and into November.

- Have you experienced loss of income due to COVID-19?
- Has someone in your household been ill with COVID-19?
If you answered yes to either of these questions and if your household income is less than 85% of State Median Income (see table below), then you may be eligible for past due rent or mortgage payment assistance. Review the requirements for applications here.
