Spring Tree Planting A Success!
On behalf of Heart of the City Neighborhoods and Green Options Buffalo, we would like to thank everyone involved in our Spring Tree Planting this past Saturday morning!
This past Saturday, April 16th, over fifty volunteers joined Heart of the City and Green Options Buffalo at the Niagara Branch Library for our Spring Tree Planting. We successfully planted 100 trees throughout the West Side of Buffalo!
Thank you to the 50+ Volunteers who woke up early and braved the harsh winds and rain! If it were not for your energy and dedication, our tree planting would have been at a loss.
A special thanks to Re-Tree WNY and Green Options Buffalo’s Justin Booth, who graciously made sure trees were ready and holes were pre-dug for our volunteers!
This amazing team started rounds in the pouring rain at 6:00am to distribute trees and stakes for our volunteers!
A very special thanks to Buffalo Green Fund’s Ed Dore for supplying the 100 trees that made this planting possible, and to Keep Western New York Beautiful for supplying the tools and supplies used to plant these trees!
Saturday’s tree planting initiative will provide the West Side Community with beneficial results for years to come!
We truly cannot thank you enough for your generous efforts and support! We look forward to working on our next neighborhood beautification project with you all! To see more photos from this event, visit our Facebook Page and Flickr Page.
