Heart of the City Neighborhood’s (HOCN) Green Infrastructure (GI) Environmental Stewardship Program is looking for a Stormwater Maintenance Foreman. The ideal candidate is passionate and experienced in the leadership and workforce development of young adults. They must have experience in land care, grounds and/or stormwater infrastructure maintenance along with coordination of daily operations and team management. We are also looking to fill slots for our Green Infrastructure (GI) Crew Members for 8 program participants to begin our paid training program in March 2022. Young adults, 18-30, will receive personal empowerment and leadership and workforce development while earning a stipend through October 2022. First Aid, CPR and OSHA 10 certs are available along with a National Green Infrastructure Certification (NGIC) for each individual while enrolled in the HOCN’s Environmental Stewardship Program! This ‘crew’ also encounters dozens of Community Resources & Activities, Team Building and Career Exploration opportunities facilitated by HOCN staff, partners, guest speakers of local for-profit and non-profit organizations.
